The academic preschool year runs from September to May. Registration for the following school year is held early in the second semester. Priority registration is conducted through the preschool office. Open registration is conducted through the mail.
The registration process is dependent on both priority status and the order in which applications are received. Priority is given in the following order:
1. Grace UMC family members
2. Students currently enrolled at Grace Preschool
3. Siblings of students currently enrolled Grace Preschool
4. Legacies (children and siblings of former Grace Preschool students)
5. Members of the community who have no previous relationship with Grace Preschool
*One week after registration begins, applications from priority tiers 1, 2, and 3 will be reviewed and then class assignments made according to level of priority, order in which applications were received, and class preferences indicated on the registration form.
*Two weeks after registration begins, applications from priority tiers 4 and 5 will be reviewed and class assignments made according to level of priority, order in which applications were received, and class preferences indicated on the registration form.
*Any applications received after the first two weeks of registration will be reviewed on a first come-first serve basis.
In cases where there are more eligible children for a class than available space, placement will be at the discretion of the Director. A waiting list for all age levels is created after registration (names are added to the list in order of receipt) and is maintained throughout the following calendar year. Children should be 1, 2, 3, or 4 years-old on or before September 2 of the year enrolled. There is no fee to be on a waiting list.
When a child is enrolled in a class, a registration/activity fee of $80 is paid. The registration fee for each additional child is $25. The first tuition payment is made at the time of registration.
