Professional Counseling Service is an outreach ministry of Grace United Methodist Church.  It is located in the church at 915 E. Glenn Ave. Auburn.  Jo Anne Laughlin  is a Licensed Professional Counselor.  She graduated from Auburn University with a Masters Degree in Counseling and Counseling Psychology.  Along with many years experience in the counseling field she has been active in national, state and regional professional counseling organizations.  She is also active in the community and Grace United Methodist Church.

Professional Counseling Service applies a holistic, wellness approach to promote optimal mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health.  This ministry seeks to enable positive changes in persons to live more productive, satisfying, healthy and rewarding lives.  When people are better able to resolve or cope with problems or challenges of living they are more likely to maximize their potential.  Emphasis may be in the areas of prevention, crisis intervention, personal growth, problem solving, skills teaching, decision-making, coping, or support.

Clients range from a 50+mile radius of Auburn.  Individuals, couples, and families are seen on a fee basis by appointment.  Appointments are scheduled Monday – Thursday, 8:30 – 4:30.  Brief and long-term counseling are available.  If you would like more information or would like to make an appointment, please call 334-821-4512.
