Nurture

Sunday School is the centerpiece of our ministry of Christian nurture. Meeting at 9:45 every Sunday morning, Sunday School offers Bible study and topical lessons for all age levels, beginning with the nursery. Beyond this, we offer numerous learning opportunities for all ages, which include the following:

• Wednesday Night Services---Dinner and fellowship followed by devotion and singing.  Classes for all ages meet afterward.  We meet every Wednesday September through May and as scheduled in the summer.  Watch the weekly activities for dates.
• Mission Study---a mission oriented study for children and adults that meet for four weeks during the winter.
• Lenten Bible Studies---Focus on spiritual growth and meet during Lent (before Easter).
• Vacation Bible School---a weeklong learning experience for children, youth and adults that meets during the summer.
• United Methodist Camps---retreat experiences for children and youth at Blue Lake United Methodist Assembly in Andalusia, Alabama.
• Confirmation Classes---thirteen-week studies of the Christian faith for twelve-year old children.
• Prayer and Share---a women's devotional group that meets Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m.
• United Methodist Youth Fellowship--- our youth group (7-12 grades) meets twice weekly, on Wednesday and Sunday evenings.  The group participates in mission and recreational trips and retreats.
• J.O.Y. Fellowship--- a fellowship of senior adults that meet for bi-monthly programs & to take scheduled trips.
• United Methodist Women--- mission, service and fellowship groups that meet monthly. Our UMW includes two circles, which sponsor local projects and contribute to numerous mission organizations.
• United Methodist Men--- a mission, service and fellowship group that has a monthly breakfast meeting. Our UMM sponsors local projects and contributes to numerous mission organizations.
