Grace United contributes tens of thousands of dollars each year to the worldwide ministries of the United Methodist denomination.  These include ministries of evangelism, higher education, relief for the poor, peacemaking, and social justice.  Members of Grace are personally involved in mission projects through Alabama Rural Ministries (Central Alabama) Redbird Mission (Kentucky), and Servants in Faith and Technology (Ecuador).  Grace is a supporting congregation of Alabama ARISE, which provides legislative advocacy for the poor in our state.

Locally, we participate in Habitat for Humanity through the We Help Coalition.  Our members are active in the Red Cross, Lee County Literacy Coalition, and Mercy Medical Clinic and LifeSouth Blood Center.  We help sponsor the Community Market, a food-distribution service of East Alabama Food Bank.  Grace church also serves the community through Grace Preschool.
